Having starter issues on your early Ford? Or maybe performing a 12 volt conversion? Prewar and More can rebuild your early Ford starter in original 6 volt or convert your starter to 12 volt to ensure your car cranks the way it should.
Every starter we rebuild gets brand new field coils, brushes, bushings and hardware all included in the price. Your armature will be tested to ensure no shorted windings and commentator surface will be resurfaced, polished, and mica recut. Your case will be sandblasted and painted and end plates refurbished to factory finish. Your armature will be shimmed to ensure proper shaft end play. Finally, the starter will be tested and amperage rating checked before being securely packaged and shipped back to you. All starter rebuilds come with a 90 day warranty.
You have the option for terminal style, flat button or threaded stud:
- Flat Button - Stock style terminal used with stock foot switch or pull cable
- Threaded Stud - Aftermarket if using start solenoid
