One of the biggest upgrades you can make to your stock Model A is upgrading the original worn steel drum brakes for new high quality cast iron drums. Unfortunately, this is not a task that can be completed in the average garage. It takes a large press and special jig to properly swedge the new drums to the original hubs. We're here to help!

What is involved in the service?

  • You ship us your original drum(s)/hub(s) or select "I do not have a core to ship" and we will use original Ford hub(s) from our inventory
  • We unswedge your old drum(s) from the hub(s)
  • We inspect your hub(s) for damage and contact you if any issues
  • Your old bearing races will be removed from the hub(s)
  • Your hub(s) will be sandblasted clean
  • Brand new Timken wheel bearing races be installed
  • Your new cast iron drum(s) (included in the price) will be swedged onto your original hub(s) with new wheel studs
  • We will turn your new hub/drum assembly on the brake lathe to ensure they spin true
  • Your drum(s)/hub(s) will be safely packaged and shipped back to you, ready to install

The price of this service includes all parts (Cast iron drum, wheel studs, and bearing races) to do a single hub.

There is a 2-4 week turnaround time from when we receive your parts.
