Prewar and More can rebuild your early Ford generator in original 6 volt or convert your generator to 12 volt to ensure your car charges the way it should. We can also rewire your generator to use a voltage regulator instead of the stock cut out.
Every generator we rebuild gets brand new field coils, brushes, bearings, bushings and hardware all included in the price. Your armature will be tested to ensure no shorted windings and commentator surface will be turned, polished, and mica recut. Your case will be sandblasted and painted and end plates refurbished to factory finish. Finally, the generator will be tested and amperage rating checked before being securely packaged and shipped back to you. All generator rebuilds come with a 90 day warranty.
