The Ford banjo rear end is a time tested design that when built properly can endure years of trouble free service. If it's time for a freshen up on your loose or tired rear axle, finding a reputable builder that knows how to assemble this early design correctly can be tricky. Well, look no further! Prewar & More can rebuild your banjo rear end to factory fresh! We begin by disassembling, hot tanking, cleaning and inspecting all components for damage or cracks. Once all your parts have passed our checklist, we begin the rebuild process. We replace ALL bearings and races with high quality Timken bearings. All seals, gaskets, and shims will be replaced. Pinion preload will be set to factory specs as well as backlash and carrier bearing preload. The exterior will be painted in chassis black.
Gear ratio swaps can also be done at this time. If you'd like to change your gear ratio, please contact us to discuss options and pricing. We can source original gears or install high quality aftermarket gears.
Due to size, this service is for local drop off and pick up (Auburn NH) of rear axles. We can crate and ship but please contact us if you are not local and would like to discuss shipping.
If you are local and purchase the service, you will be contacted via email within 24 hours to set up an appointment to drop off your rear axle to our shop in Auburn NH.
