Having starter issues on your early Ford? Or maybe performing a 12 volt conversion? Prewar and More can rebuild your early Ford starter in original 6 volt or convert your starter to 12 volt to ensure your car cranks the way it should.
Don't be fooled by some of those other guys offering "rebuilds" but reusing all your old worn out parts. Every starter we rebuild gets brand new field coils, brushes, bushings and hardware all included in the price. Your armature will be tested to ensure no shorted windings and commentator surface will be turned, polished and mica recut if necessary. Your case will be sandblasted and painted and end plates refurbished to factory finish. Your armature will be shimmed to ensure proper shaft end play. Finally, the starter will be bench tested and amperage rating checked before being securely packaged and shipped back to you. All starter rebuilds come with a 90 day warranty.
